Treat WingsIQ like a flight simulator and a study buddy — not a flight instructor, not an examiner, and definitely not air traffic control. We help you practice and learn. We do not certify you, we do not guarantee you'll pass anything, and you must never use WingsIQ for real-world flight, navigation, or go/no-go decisions. The FAA, your CFI, and current official publications are always the final authority. You are Pilot in Command of your own decisions. If that's not acceptable, do not use the service. By using WingsIQ, you agree to everything below. Read it before you taxi.
By accessing or using WingsIQ (the website, app, ATC simulator, Digital Pilot Examiner, test prep, ground school, weather decoder, WingsIQ Score, and any related service — collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it.
The Service is a training, study, and entertainment aid. It is NOT:
You agree not to rely on any WingsIQ output (including ATC phraseology, weather decoding, scores, lesson content, or examiner feedback) for the actual operation of an aircraft.
WingsIQ's Digital Pilot Examiner ("DPE") is an artificial-intelligence practice and simulation feature. It is named to evoke, but is wholly distinct from, the FAA's Designated Pilot Examiner. The WingsIQ Digital Pilot Examiner:
Only an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner can administer an official practical test.
Aviation regulations, procedures, charts, and standards change frequently (including 14 CFR, the AIM, the ACS, NOTAMs, and airport data). The authoritative source is always the FAA and current official publications — never WingsIQ. Content within the Service may be outdated, simplified, incomplete, or wrong. Consistent with the principle that the pilot in command is directly responsible for, and is the final authority as to, the operation of the aircraft, you bear sole responsibility for verifying all information against current official sources and for all decisions you make.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant or guarantee that you will pass any FAA knowledge test, oral exam, checkride, or any other test, or that you will become a safe, competent, or certificated pilot. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
Aviation is inherently dangerous and can result in serious injury or death. You knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with your aviation training and operations, and with your use of the Service.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COBALT OASIS LLC, ITS OWNERS, MEMBERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, PROPERTY DAMAGE, AVIATION INCIDENT OR ACCIDENT, FAILED EXAM OR CHECKRIDE, OR LOST OR DENIED CERTIFICATE OR RATING, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, whether based in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (a) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (b) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions; in those jurisdictions, liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted by law.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Cobalt Oasis LLC and its owners, members, officers, employees, and contractors from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party; or (d) any aviation activity or decision you undertake.
PLEASE READ — THIS AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively by final and binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court, except that either party may bring qualifying claims in small-claims court.
You agree not to: misuse, scrape, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Service; resell or redistribute content without permission; misrepresent WingsIQ as an FAA-authorized provider; or use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
WingsIQ offers a paid subscription billed at $24.00 USD per month (plus any applicable taxes) through our third-party payment processor, Stripe. By starting a paid subscription, you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your designated payment method on a recurring monthly basis, and you represent that you are authorized to use that payment method.
All content, software, branding, and the "WingsIQ" and "Digital Pilot Examiner" names and marks are owned by Cobalt Oasis LLC. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal training purposes only.
We may modify or discontinue any part of the Service, and may update these Terms, at any time. Material changes will be posted with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause. Sections 2–9, 12, and 15 survive termination.
These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect (severability), and the unenforceable provision will be limited to the minimum extent necessary. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may.
